Comments related to club tours

Registration:
You can register for day trip tours on the preceding Wednesday at the weekly meeting place in Garching Bürgerhaus unless specified otherwise in the published program. For longer tours you have to register in good time with the relevant tour guide: namely on the 4th (2nd) Wednesday preceding the tour start for weekly (weekend) excursions at the weekly meeting place. Please check the deadline for registration of the tour in the program. Due to possible difficulties with advance booking of accomodation, it is important to keep to the mentioned times. If the number of participants for a tour is limited, the registration for this tour will be closed as soon as the maximum of participants have registered.

Contribution toward expenses:
For tours with special character (e.g. longer excursions) some financial contribution will be asked from the participants. Usually the contribution is 5€/day per participant. The amount specified for the tour has to be paid within three days after registration time.

Introductory talk:
There are obligatory introductory talks preceding most excursions. The related date is either the Wednesday preceding the tour, or it is published in the program. If you cannot join this meeting for whatever reason, you have to report this to the related tour guide. If you do not report your absence from the meeting then you are not entitled to join the excursion.

Withdrawal:
If you have to withdraw from a tour then you may ask for a refund, provided you did pay some contribution toward expenses, and someone else could stand in. If you had to withdraw due to illness, you can apply for a refund by writing to the treasurer.

Please note:
For safety reasons, tour guides are entitled to exclude participants if they lack proper equipment or qualification. Under certain conditions (e.g. bad weather conditions) the tour guide may change or stop the tour program, or he may even cancel the tour before it has started.
